Swingy leopard print top + thoughts on the new animal print for the season

Leopard print is always in. I feel like it’s a classic that never goes out of style. But even leopard print can come back in a whole new way. Like, for instance, this red pleated swingy animal print top from H&M. How fun is this? Sooo fun. Lightweight and breezy and super fun to twirl. Yes. If it is a good outfit to twirl in, I twirl. Even if it’s just a top that’s twirly and not a dress or skirt.

And if the music is good, we dance…

Other animal prints I’m loving and have my eyes on are: zebra print and Dalmatian print. I’m seeing them online when I’m browsing websites. I like them both and hope they both come in this season. Usually there’s only one animal print other than leopard that’s in at a time. I still don’t think tiger print is going to make it big just yet. I wrote about that, here.

Which one are you rooting for? Are you still riding the snakeskin wave from last winter, or are you ready for a new animal print to make a comeback? Maybe we should come up with a different one altogether. Like color changing lizard skin. Haha. I’m all for a color-changing fabric. Is that invented yet? If so, please send my way…

As always, thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful week!

Magenta and lace for the win

Fuchsia / magenta is my favorite color in the world. For one thing, it looks good on me. For another I just love it, okay. So when I ran across this magenta tank top, I knew it had to be mine. Paired with my beige lace shorts and black patent leather peep toe flats, it makes a nice understated classy summer look. You could almost wear this to work, depending on how long your shorts have to be at the place you work.

What is your favorite color, and what does that say about you? I found this fun little website where I could see what it said about me if my favorite color was magenta. You can check it out hereI’m not sure I believe all that stuff, but it’s fun to see what the so-called ‘color experts’ have to say about who you are based on your favorite color. They talk about all the basic colors and a few others, but if your favorite color is, for example, chartreuse green, you may have to just click on the link for people who like green.

This was such a fun place to do photos. We just happened to decide to go to the back side of MHCC to shoot photos on some of the paths in the woods and discovered instead all of the art buildings – actually covered with artwork on the outside. I may have to go back again some time soon because I’m pretty sure I only saw half of it that day.

P.S. It’s my birthday today. Just wanted to throw that out there. Haha.
