Blue and gray on a fine fall day

This past weekend this fine fall weather was amazing! Just a bit cool in the mornings and evenings, but perfect the middle of the day. Sunday we stopped at the park on our way home from church and played in the leaves. So much fun! I felt good for two whole days after my round of physical therapy, chiro, acupuncture and massage, and then the pain started creeping back in on the third day. I was jumping and throwing leaves and having fun because I still felt pretty good.

After I got home, I was worried my back would start hurting really bad because of it, but the pain was just creeping slowly back in like it had the last weekend after my round of appointments, so I don’t think I was any worse for the wear after playing in the park. May as well have had fun with those fall leaves while I still could. The rain is coming back again and they are going to be wet and slimy now. Not so much fun to play with any more… Wah, wah, wah. And Monday’s round of appointments didn’t seem to give me as much relief as the ones the end of last week. So, play while you can, I say!

Cold shoulders in the springtime!

I’m learning there’s some truth to these cold shoulder tops leaving you with actual cold shoulders if it’s not a nice warm day. We are having a particularly cold spring and let me tell ya, my little shoulder was feeling cold the day we took these photos! But, warmer weather is coming! Tomorrow, I hear. And without having had any 70 degree weather, we’re going to jump right into the 80’s for a few days. Cause that’s how we roll in Portland!

I love the little bow detail on the cold shoulder. And the bell sleeves are so in right now! Red is definitely one of my colors, too! There is a bit of shimmer to this top as well, but you can’t really see it in these photos. This top would be perfect for 60 and low 70 degree weather, but not so much if it’s any hotter than that as it’s a sweater. I have another off-shoulder top I keep putting on and taking off for a warmer shirt because it’s been way to cold to have my poor shoulders hanging out this spring. I just can’t bring myself to wear it indoors or outdoors yet because I just want to be warm. I know. I’m a cold weather wimp. I’m okay with that.
