Winter blues

I always associate the color blue with January. Not sure why. Because your lips, fingers and toes turn blue when you’re cold? Who knows? I’m not the only one associating blue with January, so it must be something someone started a long time ago that we have programmed in our little brains.

I thought I’d take some photos in my winter blues in my living room. Mainly because I got to be on set last week and got my hair done up real cute and in my living room because I didn’t have time to do a photo shoot done outdoors. Plus, it was really cold last week.

I was on set again later that week, but since I was on standby for the next day and I got home real late, I had to take the hairdo down and get ready for the next day, just in case. I had a side cinnamon roll Princess Leia hairdo the second day. Ha. So much fun seeing what type of hairdo you’ll get on set…

This hairdo is on day two, I covered it with a scarf and tried to fix up the stray hairs that got out of place as best as I could.

This is a casual every day look, but adding in the hairdo and some pearl earrings makes it classy casual. Throw on some knee high taupe colored wedge boots and you’re ready to run some errands and not look like a total slob doing it. (I confess, most of my errand running days are spent looking a mess in my sweats and a sweatshirt, but it’s all good.)

What are your favorite go-to’s for a casual day look? Do you wear jeans and a t-shirt, or sweatpants and sweatshirts in the winter? Leggings, knee high boots and a long sweater or tunic are another favorite of mine during the cold months.
