I got a chance to go out to the Warm Springs Indian Reservation a few weeks ago for work a few weeks ago. Since I was working, I didn’t actually get the chance to go out and explore and do things, but saw lots of cool stuff from the passenger seat of a vintage Ford Mustang.
Here are some things to watch out for while passing through Warm Springs Indian Reservation:
Beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
Old building in various forms of deterioration.
Mesas and plateaus for days.
Funny faces and caves in the canyons.
And my personal favorite – wild horses!
We saw one lone horse on set the day we were filming. He walked by the old church down to a stream further down and then back up. I looked when we passed that corner on the way home, hoping to see another horse or two and was disappointed not to see any. Then, just a bit further up the road was a whole herd of them! Whoohoo!
We also thought we saw an eagle soaring ahead while we were waiting to get ready to start filming. He was a long way away, so I couldn’t tell for sure, but how cool is that?
There are so many cool rock formations and caves. I really wanted to go explore, but it’s probably for the best I didn’t or I would have caused my cyst to act up again. As it is, I made it 7 1/2 weeks before having the pain flare up. Sadly, it came back to bite me in the butt, as always… Le sigh.
