Lovely dead crap

Have you ever taken a walk in the winter time and noticed all of the lovely dead crap out there? Yep. You heard me right. Lovely. Dead. Crap. On first glance, it looks brown and ugly, and some of it really is, but if you stop to look, some of it is actually quite beautiful. And I’m one of those people who stops to take photos of it. You may think I’m the only one, but there is actually a lovelydeadcrap hashtag on Instagram, and a hub that reposts photos people tag of their lovely dead crap. I’m not kidding you. Check it out: lovelydeadcrap  You can also check out my Instagram gallery: 1murtle where I not only post photos of lovely dead crap, but also post lots of nature photos and cat photos. Beauty can be found even in the bleakest days of winter. You’d be amazed by the beauty you can find when nothing is blooming – if only you take time to look.

For the love of books!

There is nothing I love to do more than read. Well, maybe a few things, but it’s definitely up there in my top five! On a cold rainy winter day, I love to curl up with a good book & a cup of tea. On a hot summer day, I love to lay out in the sun and read a book. When I’m sick, when I’m down, when I’m bored, when I have things to do and just want to read instead. I also like to pin books to read and sayings about books to my bookworm board on Pinterest. Check it out here: Bookworm  ~ Books are always a good idea!
