Polka dots and lace

I was going to take some bags of clothing to Goodwill last month, only to find myself at Goodwill, minus the bags of clothing. So I just went in and browsed around. I found this cute polka dot dress with lace marked with the color of the week for half off, so I snagged it for $3.50. Not bad, if I say so myself.

The bag of clothing still hasn’t made it’s way to Goodwill, but it keeps getting added to, so it’s all good. It has now become two bags of clothing, as my son added to it as well. It will get there one of these days.

The lace details on this dress were too cute to resist. I’m always a fan of cute details.

I attempted to style the cardigan wrap thingy again. Mostly I was wearing it with a big white belt across the front. Other than draping it over my shoulders like a poncho.

This weekend, I’m mourning the passing of summer as our high temps have only been in the 50’s. Not even that yet today. My sister even had snow already down in Bend! Craziness, I’m telling ya! Just say no to early winter.

Thank you for stopping by. If there is no post next weekend, just know my body did not want to acclimate to the cooler temperatures just yet, and I just said ‘no’ to taking more photos for the blog. Ha. (Funny how at the other end of winter, these same temps feel like spring is coming on and it’s time to go outside and have fun again.)

Magenta and lace for the win

Fuchsia / magenta is my favorite color in the world. For one thing, it looks good on me. For another I just love it, okay. So when I ran across this magenta tank top, I knew it had to be mine. Paired with my beige lace shorts and black patent leather peep toe flats, it makes a nice understated classy summer look. You could almost wear this to work, depending on how long your shorts have to be at the place you work.

What is your favorite color, and what does that say about you? I found this fun little website where I could see what it said about me if my favorite color was magenta. You can check it out hereI’m not sure I believe all that stuff, but it’s fun to see what the so-called ‘color experts’ have to say about who you are based on your favorite color. They talk about all the basic colors and a few others, but if your favorite color is, for example, chartreuse green, you may have to just click on the link for people who like green.

This was such a fun place to do photos. We just happened to decide to go to the back side of MHCC to shoot photos on some of the paths in the woods and discovered instead all of the art buildings – actually covered with artwork on the outside. I may have to go back again some time soon because I’m pretty sure I only saw half of it that day.

P.S. It’s my birthday today. Just wanted to throw that out there. Haha.
