A few of my favorite things

A continuation of last week’s post, with an addition of a favorite color of mine, fuchsia. Or magenta. This post is full of my favorite things: Floral, magenta, tiers, pleats and trips to The Gorge.

This floral smocked top was found at Nordstrom Rack. I notice we’re bringing smocking back. (Yeah. Give it to me girl!) Which I remember from being a little girl and not thinking it was all that cool then, because it was a trend going out of style at the time.

Well, it’s back. Big time. Smocked tops and dresses. Add the top to the dress-turned-skirt from last week with pleats and layers for a frilly, slightly more casual look. So much fun!

Smocked floral top, Nordstrom Rack; heart sunglasses, Ross; bejeweled flip flops, Ross; Ruffled skirt, Nordstrom Rack, hoop earrings, old, similar here.

Hope you all have a wonderful week and are enjoying the cooler weather, if you live in Oregon.

Pretty in pleats

Isn’t this dress to die for? Nothing like feeling pretty in pleats. And tiers upon tiers. How fun is this dress? It’s a Lulu’s original but I found it at Nordstrom Rack.

Lulus tiered, pleated midi dress, Nordstrom Rack; Red wedge peep toes, old; Red floral necklace, Ann Taylor Loft; Rose gold clutch, Marshalls; Rose gold sunglasses, Ross.

While everyone else was shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, I was over at Nordstrom Rack checking out the already reduced prices on all of their clothing items. I’m definitely one for a good deal, and The Rack has way better deals than the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, IMHO.

This dress would be perfect for a summer wedding guest outfit. I felt like I was all dressed up with no fancy event to go to. Instead, we headed out to Hood River for a day trip.

It was a bit windy so I added a top later on, but still, a beautiful day for a drive.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer. I have been on vacation this week and it has been amazing. Not long enough, though. I think I need to move to Europe where they get month long vacations to our week long ones in the States. Or win the lottery…
