Spring in Oregon reminds me of the Katy Perry song ‘Hot n cold’. Like for real:
‘Cause you’re hot then you’re cold
You’re yes then you’re no
You’re in then you’re out
You’re up then you’re down
You’re wrong when it’s right
It’s black and it’s white
We fight, we break up
We kiss, we make up
(You) You don’t really want to stay, no
(You) But you don’t really want to go-o
You’re hot then you’re cold
You’re yes then you’re no
You’re in then you’re out
You’re up then you’re down
So, we’re just going to go with it. It’s different every day. In my head, I’m imagining a spring photo shoot with all the cherry blossoms and a fun twirly floral dress. In reality, I’m dragging out my knee high boots and tights to stay warm, and the rain and high winds have knocked most of the blossoms off the trees already. Whatever. I’m over it. (I think.) So, I dragged out a springy pink sweater and off we went.
I also tried to imitate a hairdo I had on set a couple of weeks ago. My version I didn’t get a good shot of, but the back didn’t look nearly as defined as theirs. Mine:
Theirs:
Yeah. So my hairdo skills need work. Theirs had way better twists in it, but if you didn’t know what I was aiming for, you couldn’t tell, right? Riiiight? I don’t care. I’m going to go twirl now even though I don’t have a good twirly spring dress to twirl in. Sometimes you’ve just gotta twirl. And this bridge is really cool!
I got a spot of mascara on my coat that day. Oops. It came out most of the way when I tried cleaning it off.
We saw two bunnies on this path. They were so cute. Maybe I’ll share photos of them another day.
Somewhere along the way, the little black rubber soles on the ends of my boots fell off on the path… Hmmm. These boots aren’t made for walking down rough gravelly paths apparently.
Yeah, so, I present to you a perfectly imperfect me. One who gets mascara blobs on her clothes, loses the rubber heel covers on her boots, can’t copy a hairdo if her life depended on it. Sometimes I think fashion bloggers are too busy trying to present a perfect front to the world. I’m certainly not perfect, nor do I want the world to think I am.
